Hot off the heels of Thame Food Festival, the BarrGroup Home Show offers a Grand Designs-style experience to a local audience. Like Thame Food Festival, the bonus is that it is completely free. The aim is to bring together the local community and to offer young people the opportunity to find out about our award-winning apprenticeship scheme.
Visitors will be greeted with fresh organic coffee, award-winning homemade bakes and a smile! Opening of the newly renovated BarrKitchens showroom will allows visitors to experience traditional joinery combined with the latest design trends. The workshops will be open and in full swing, giving members of the public the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes and see the skilled BarrGroup Joiners in action.
Grand Design style consultations will be available, with architectural design advice from Ben Holland (partner at Thame based architects firm Holland and Green) and construction advice from StuartBarr CDR directors. Our interiors and joinery designers will be on hand to discuss your needs. There will be an external financial advisor offering holistic advice if required.
Young people from local secondary schools are invited to take advantage of one to one ‘real world' chats with current apprentices. Having had a chequered experience of conventional education Stuart, Barr Group Director has an empathy with young people struggling to find their way. The BarrGroup focus their social responsibilities in this area and as such are delighted to have this opportunity to share positive experiences of continued learning through apprenticeship schemes.
As design companies the Barr Group have asked like-minded local craftsmen and suppliers to showcase complimentary home style goods, which will be on display to inspire or purchase.
Local MP John Howell and Thame Mayor, Linda Emery, will be kicking things off with an official opening of the Home Show and our newly renovated ‘Of the Moment’ kitchen design showroom. Everyone is welcome to the event. One to one consultations can be booked in advance by calling the BarrGroup on 01844202399 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
